Bruner Cited for Excellence in Print and Marketing Campaigns

Hilliard, OH, 12/3/2008 — In the past several months, Hilliard-based Bruner Corporation has been cited for excellence in the design and printing of its 50th Anniversary Celebration Invitation by two separate organizations, Summit International and Print Solutions Magazine.

In recognition of its "green" marketing approach, Bruner earned a finalist designation in the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards sponsored by Summit International. The Summit awards acknowledge the effectiveness of advertising in achieving the advertiser’s business goals and successfully influencing consumer knowledge, attitudes and beliefs. Bruner's campaign was created to raise awareness of its 50th service anniversary and a planned customer appreciation event. The concept, created and developed by Minds On, Inc., consisted of a direct mailer that entitled each recipient to a special gift at the Bruner anniversary event. The direct mail piece also reflected Bruner’s commitment to the environment. The invitation was printed using "green seal" designated paper and environmentally responsible inks.

"Receiving an award for the effectiveness of our anniversary communication was the icing on our 50th anniversary cake," said Sandra Patton, sales and marketing manager at Bruner. Announcing this significant milestone in the company’s history in a "green" way reflected Bruner’s commitment to the environment.

Bruner's 50th anniversary celebration mailer was also awarded a 2008 Print Excellence And Knowledge (PEAK) award in the category of "Mailers" in the fourth annual Print Solutions Magazine competition. Tom Augustine, president of Minds On, Inc. commented, "We're honored that the mailer earned additional notoriety for Bruner Corporation's anniversary celebration. Knowing that the judging panel was comprised of respected print industry veterans, including a professor in the department of graphic communications from Clemson University, makes the award very meaningful."
