United Way of Central Ohio’s Celebration of Excellence Awards Bruner Corporation for Employee Volunteerism

Columbus, Ohio — United Way of Central Ohio presented awards to six organizations for the excellence of their campaign efforts at its Celebration of Excellence held at the Columbus Convention Center.

Bruner Corporation received a fifth consecutive award recognizing their Employee Volunteerism. This award is granted to organizations that promote philanthropic work amongst their employees. Bruner Corporation continues to provide year round opportunities for their employees to volunteer in the community.

Five other awards included:

• Community Impact Award of Excellence — AEP / IBEW Local 1466
• Employee Education — Emerson Network Power, Liebert Division
• Leadership Giving — Ernst & Young
• Strategic Performance — KMPG LLP
• Best First-Time Campaign — Turner Construction Company

Columbus, Ohio — United Way of Central Ohio presented its Community Impact Awards to six organizations for the excellence of their campaign efforts at its Celebration of Excellence held at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion.

Bruner Corporation received the highest honor, The Community Impact Award of Excellence, which recognizes overall achievement in corporate and volunteer philanthropic efforts. Award judges found that Bruner Corporation excels in all aspects of their campaign including strategic performance, leadership giving, and employee education and volunteerism. The company uses creative events to educate and enhance employee participation, and has continually improved every aspect of its annual efforts. As a founding member of Leading Edge, a group of companies that pioneer innovative campaign techniques and share best practices, Bruner has helped United Way improve corporate campaigns across central Ohio.

This is the fourth year that The Community Impact Award of Excellence has been presented. Previous winners are Nationwide, UPS and Deloitte & Touche.
